The person behind Layer02
Berlin · DE and EN
Paul Freeman builds automations and AI systems from Berlin. The recent work was at a software company: a data importer that turned 25 hours of manual entry into minutes, a HubSpot rollout to 20 users with dashboards covering 300 companies, and an AI support agent that handled roughly 9 in 10 incoming tickets without a person. Before that he did the same work by hand for 2.5 years: invoices, CRM records, support tickets, spreadsheets. That is the qualification behind the studio: knowing how a process runs before anyone automates it. Earlier, at a €248M IT consultancy, he helped build the data structures behind a sustainability report.
Outside client work we build our own products. playvolley is a Berlin volleyball app built in Claude Code: a 67-table database, Stripe payments, on iPhone. It is our answer to the question every automation studio gets: can you write real code, or only wire tools together?
How we work: replies within one working day, calls in German or English, a full working day of overlap with Europe and afternoons that cover the US East Coast morning. We build with n8n, Make, Zapier, Claude Code, HubSpot, ClickUp, Python and Next.js, inside your accounts, so nothing is locked to us.
